Winter Vacation, by Li Hongqi (2010)

A small village in Northern China in winter. Four teenagers roam the streets of their neighborhood, wondering how to occupy their last days of vacation. They watch every opportunity to boredom, discussing everything and anything for the sake of arguing. In the midst of absurd exchanges, heartaches run alongside with criticism of school educationand aftermath of national communism…

The story starts in a depressive location and fades out with a suddenly panic feeling, just as the the daily life they live, but also as the destiny we are ordered to have.
